We run a number of mailing lists for former Varndean pupils/students. This is a great way to keep in touch with each other, especially as a lot of people have now moved away from the Brighton area. These are all run by volunteers, and are open to anyone who attended Varndean (either the Boys' or Girls' Grammar School, the High School or the Sixth Form College).

We run an announcements mailing list (private) to which we encourage everyone to belong. As the name suggests, this is for announcements only, and is our main vehicle for keeping in touch. Messages to the list are very infrequent (about one per month maximum), and contain information from the Old Varndeanian Association as well as news from the school/college. I will automatically subscribe OVs to this list, as we make contact with them, unless they specifically ask not to be.

The discussion mailing list (Varndean-L@rootsweb.com) is an interactive list, on which we talk about Varndean, Brighton, and other related items. Traffic on this is fairly low, and usually no more than five mails per day.

The "chat" mailing list, (Varndean-chat@yahoogroups.com) is for open discussion with no upper limit on traffic levels.
