| Forty
years after taking their 'O' Levels, twenty four Old Girls returned to
the Varndean Grammar School for Girls building in which they sat those
exams. A reunion organised by Janet Starling (nee Crisp) started off with
a welcome drink at Varndean High School, followed by a tour of the greatly
extended school, which now has 11 forms of entry. After the tour, the
ladies departed for the Tin Drum at Fiveways, where they had exclusive
use of the upstairs restaurant for a meal and an evening of reminiscing. |
